01 — The living room leads to a bedroom behind glass.

A glass-walled bedroom gives this small loft its most intriguing view. Behind the caramel sofa, a black steel frame turns a simple white bed into a room of its own. Step inside and look back: a compact kitchen and a two-seat dining table appear on the other side.

This apartment design concept explores that change in perspective, with two connected views to open and compare.

First, follow the light toward the bedroom

The living room brings together worn brick, soft leather and a faded patterned rug. The dark outline of the glass keeps the bedroom distinct while letting the eye travel past the sofa. White bedding adds a bright resting point; the rust throw repeats the warmth of the leather without matching it exactly.

Look at the curtain gathered beside the glass. It softens the steel and suggests a more enclosed mood when drawn. The low coffee table leaves more of the room visible, while a few books, a ceramic cup and a loose branch arrangement give the space everyday texture.

02 — From inside the bedroom, the kitchen and dining space come into view.

Then turn around: the kitchen is on the other side

The second view begins inside the bedroom. The edge of the duvet anchors the foreground, and the familiar sofa and two brick-wall windows reappear on the right. Across the room, stainless cabinets introduce a cooler material alongside the walnut dining table.

This is the part the first photograph cannot show: how cooking, eating and relaxing share the space outside the bedroom. An amber pendant gives the small table its own pool of light. A narrow shelf keeps cups within the kitchen scene instead of filling the whole wall with cabinetry.

Three details to borrow

  • Repeat warmth through materials. Leather, walnut and a rust textile can feel related without making every surface the same color.
  • Give each activity an anchor. The rug gathers the living area; a pendant marks the dining table; the glass frame defines the bedroom.
  • Balance a cool finish with something tactile. Steel feels softer beside worn brick, linen and a patterned rug.

For your own apartment, start with the lighting, rug and material mix. A glazed bedroom enclosure is a building alteration, so check lease permission and local requirements for ventilation, daylight and escape routes before considering one.
